Grandmommy Suzies Chili Con Carne Recipe

  1. Heat the oil in a skillet, add in the onion and garlic and saute/fry' till golden.
  2. Add in the meat and brown.
  3. Transfer the meat mix to a large saucepan and add in the remaining ingredients.
  4. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat and simmer, uncovered till the sauce is as thick as desired, or possibly about three hrs.
  5. If you like, add in one can of kidney beans (liquid removed) just before serving.
  6. Serve with crusty bread and a salad.
