Bavarian Style German Potato Salad Recipe

  1. (As modified by Linda M. Clasby)
  2. Boil 7-9 Medium BAKING Potatoes (whole)
  3. Peel Warm, place in mixing bowl & Mash w/fork Add in equal parts vinegar & BOILING water to taste**
  4. (**Approx: 1/2 - 2/3 C. of each)
  5. Add in 1 to 1 1/2 teaspoon saltAdd 1 small to medium finely minced onion
  6. Consistency should be like wet mashed potatoes.
  7. Taste it and add in a little more water and/or possibly vinegar if necessary (depending on your own individual taste preferences) Mix well & transfer to serving bowl;
  8. Sprinkle with lots of pepper.
  9. Cover and let refrigerateovernight (this is important).
