Grilled Asparagus with Garlic and Parmesan
- 1 bunch fresh asparagus, trimmed
- 2 tbsp. olive oil
- 2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp. freshly ground pepper
- 3 to 4 tbsp. freshly grated parmesan cheese
- You may grill these over an oiled mesh grate, or alternatively, you may skewer them with one skewer across the top and one across the bottom, going over many asparagus spears, as if you were making a fence (this will keep them from rolling off the grate and into the coals).
- Toss asparagus with oil, then with garlic, salt and pepper, and skewer if needed.
- Grill for about 10 minutes total, turning once or until done to your liking (thickness may vary the time).
- Once turned, sprinkle with parmesan to melt.
