Baked Macaroni And Tomatoes

  1. Cook macaroni following package directions; drain and reserve for later use.
  2. In large skillet, saute onion in margarine just until tender.
  3. Add tomatoes, parsley flakes, salt and pepper; simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Remove from heat.
  5. Stir in contents of cheese packet.
  6. Heat slowly, stirring constantly, until mixture is thoroughly blended.
  7. Gently stir in reserved macaroni.
  8. Pour into greased, shallow 2-quart baking dish.
  9. Bake in preheated 350u0b0 oven for 20 minutes; remove from oven.
  10. Top with cheese slices.
  11. Return casserole to oven for 5 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
  12. Serve immediately.
  13. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
