Chocolate Fondue

  1. Pour the cream in a heavy saucepot and place over moderate heat.
  2. Bring the cream to a slight simmer.
  3. Remove the pan from the heat and add chocolate.
  4. Let the chocolate stand in hot cream 3-5 minutes to soften.
  5. Whisk the chocolate mixture until completely melted and smooth.
  6. Transfer the molten chocolate to a fondue pot set over a small lit candle or low sterno flame; stir in the Frangelico.
  7. Plating: Place fondue pot in the center of the table, and arrange your favorite dipping goodies on a platter along side the fondue.
  8. Spear with fondue forks or wooden skewers, dip, swirl and enjoy.
