Polynesian Ribs
- 1 Spare ribs
- 2 tsp Powdered ginger
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 1 tsp Season salt
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tsp Onion powder
- 1/2 tsp Ground allspice
- 1/2 tsp Black pepper
- 1 & 1/2 cup Pineapple juice
- 1/4 cup Soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Brown sugar
- 1 tsp Lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp Sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp Powdered ginger
- 1/4 tsp Garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp Onion powder
- 2 tbsp Cornstarch
- Mix dry rub ingredients and season ribs, wrapped in plastic and refrigerate overnight.
- Set up your grill for Indirect Heat with a drip pan in the middle.
- Place ribs on the grill over the drip pan and cook for 1 & 1/2 to 2 hours (at about 300F).
- Mix sauce ingredients bring to a gentle boil and simmer for several minutes.
- When an inch or two of the bone is exposed of the ribs begin to glazed with the sauce and continue cooking.
- After about 10 to 15 minutes glazed with the sauce again.
- (glazed with sauce 2 or 3 additional times and continue cooking)
- Allowed to rest about 10 to 15 minutes before carving and serving.
