Beef Curryaki With Mushrooms Recipe
- 1 pound round steak, cut in 1/2 x 1/2 inch strips
- 2 tbsp. veg. oil
- 1 lg. onion, minced
- 2 teaspoon curry pwdr
- 1-2 clove garlic, chopped
- 1/8 teaspoon chili pwdr
- 1 med. green pepper, cut in strips
- 1 c. reg. strength beef broth
- 2 tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 (8 ounce.) can sliced mushrooms
- 1 tbsp. cornstarch
- Heat oil in skillet - brown meat - set aside.
- Combine onion, curry pwdr, garlic, chili pwdr and green pepper to pan - stirring till onion is limp.
- Return meat to pan.
- Stir in broth and soy sauce.
- Add in mushrooms.
- Cover and simmer about 1 1/2 hrs till meat is tender - over low heat.
- Thicken with 1 Tbsp.
- cornstarch mixed in 1/4 c. water.
- Serve over warm cooked rice.
