Beef Gravy Mix Recipe
- 1 c. instant non-fat lowfat milk pwdr
- 1/2 c. flour
- 2 tbsp. instant beef bouillon granules
- 1 1/2 teaspoon dry thyme, crushed
- 1 teaspoon dry rosemary, crushed
- 1/2 teaspoon grnd sage
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly grnd black pepper
- 1/2 c. unsalted butter
- 3 teaspoon brown sauce for gravy

- In a bowl, stir together the lowfat milk pwdr, flour, beef bouillon granules, thyme, rosemary, sage and pepper.
- Cut in the butter till completely blended.
- Stir in the brown sauce with a fork.
- Cover and chill; use within 4 to 6 weeks.

- To use the gravy mix: In a saucepan, pour 1 c. cool water.
- Whisk in 1/2 c. of the gravy mix, bring just to the boil, reduce the heat and simmer for 3 min, stirring constantly, or possibly till smooth and thickened.
- Makes about 1 c..
- Recipe makes approximately 3 c. mix, sufficient for 6 batches of gravy.
