Peach Cobbler

  1. Preheat oven to 425F (220C).
  2. Mix filling ingredients in pot; place on medium heat and allow to boil.
  3. Put hot fruit in bottom of buttered casserole dish.
  4. Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg.
  5. Dot with 1 tablespoon butter.
  6. Mix dough ingredients in separate bowl; form into boll.
  7. Roll out dough.
  8. Cover filling with rolled dough.
  9. Dot dough with butter and sprinkle with 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon.
  10. Bake 30 minutes at 425F (220C).
  11. Apples, pears and plums may also be used with this recipe.
  12. Serve warm or at room temperature with ice cream if desired.
