Ham Strada Recipe
- 20 slices bread
- 3 c. bite size ham
- 10 ounce. pkg. sharp cheddar cheese
- 10 ounce. pkg. Swiss cheese
- 6 Large eggs
- 3 c. lowfat milk
- 1/2 teaspoon onion salt
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
- 3 c. corn flakes
- 1/2 c. melted butter
- Grease 9"x13" pan with butter.
- Cut crusts off bread, cut in half and arrange in bottom of pan.
- Spread 1/2 the ham and 1/2 of the cheeses (grated).
- Repeat layers (bread/ham/cheese).
- Combine slightly beaten Large eggs, seasonings and lowfat milk.
- Pour over layers.
- Cover and let stand overnight in the refrigerator.
- The next day mix corn flakes and melted butter and spread over the top of the strada.
- Bake 50 to 60 min at 375 degrees.
- Let set at least 10 min after baking.
- This feeds 10 to 12 people.
