Easy Imitation Crabmeat Cream Croquettes
- 1 medium Onions
- 50 grams Margarine
- 10 grams Lard
- 80 grams Flour (cake flour)
- 500 ml Milk
- 1 Salt and pepper
- 1 box Imitation crab sticks
- 1 Flour (for coating)
- 2 Egg (for coating)
- 1 Panko (for coating)
- Sweat the thinly sliced onions in margarine.
- Make sure you cook over low heat to bring out the sweetness and to prevent burning.
- Turn off the heat.
- Once the onions have been cooked, add in the flour and mix well.
- Turn down the heat to low again, and mix in the milk.
- After stirring the milk in, season with salt and pepper and cook for 4-5 minutes.
- Once the mixture becomes creamy, turn off the heat.
- Shred the imitation crab meat and mix in.
- Transfer to a large bowl, and after the mixture has cooled, cover with plastic wrap and cool in the fridge for 1 hour.
- Remove the mixture from the fridge.
- Shape into appropriate sized pieces.
- Then coat in flour, then in a beaten egg and panko crushed with your fingertips.
- Fry both sides at 170C for 2 minutes.
- Drain on paper towels.
- Serve on a plate and they are done!
