Tomato Basil Sauce
- 3 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 clove Garlic
- 16 oz Can Crushed Tomatoes
- 1 pinch Sugar
- 1 Salt and Pepper to taste
- 4 Basil Leaves
- Saute minced garlic in the olive oil till soft.
- Add tomatoes and sugar to the garlic.
- Season to taste with salt and pepper.
- Simmer sauce for ten minutes.
- Add chopped basil.
- Note: If you like garlic you can add two cloves.
- Also I personally dont like super chunky sauce so I blend the tomatoes or just use plain tomato sauce and thicken with tomato paste.
- You may have to adjust seasonings if you do this.
