Sweetheart Fudge Pie

  1. Cream the butter.
  2. Gradually add brown sugar, beating at medium speed of an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Add melted chocolate, coffee granules and rum extract; mix well.
  5. Stir in flour and 1 cup chopped walnuts.
  6. Pour mixture into pastry shell. Bake at 375u0b0 for 25 minutes.
  7. Cool completely.
  8. Chill.
  9. Garnish, if desired.
  10. Yields one 9-inch pie.
