Navy Minced Beef
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 18 pound onions chopped
- 3 ounces flour, all-purpose
- 3023 ounces tomatoes, canned crushed
- 18 ounce mace ground
- 18 ounce salt
- 18 teaspoon black pepper
- Cook beef with onions in its own fat until beef loses its pink colour, stirring to break apart.
- Drain or skim off excess fat.
- Sprinkle flour over beef; continue cooking until flour is absorbed.
- Add tomatoes, mace, salt and pepper.
- Stir well.
- Simmer 10 to 15 minutes.
- Serve over toast, biscuits, rice or pasta.
