Ground Beef In Gouda Shells Recipe

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Grease 4 individual baking dishes (1 1/2 to 2 c. size).
  3. Mix the dry ingredients, pour in the combined oil and lowfat milk, and stir with a fork till blended.
  4. Turn out onto a floured board and knead briefly.
  5. Roll and cut the dough into 4 circles to line the baking dishes.
  6. Slice the cheese in half crosswise and scoop out the insides (use a grapefruit knife), leaving a 1/4 inch wall.
  7. Shred the cheese and save it.
  8. Put the cheese shells into the dough- lined dishes.
  9. Brown the grnd beef with the onion and garlic.
  10. Stir in green pepper, celery, tomato sauce and wine; season and cook for 10 min.
  11. Using a slotted spoon, place the filling into the cheese shells, top with the shredded cheese and bake for 25 min.
  12. Serves 4.
