Honey Nut Granola

  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.
  2. In a bowl add applesauce and honey, whisk together until combined.
  3. In a very large mixing bowl, mix together oats, almonds, walnuts, ground flax, whole flax seed and cinnamon.
  4. Add the honey mixture over the dry mixture and stir until everything is thoroughly combined.
  5. Spread onto a pan lined with parchment paper or a nonstick mat and bake in the oven for 45 minutes.
  6. Remove the pan from the oven every 15 minutes and give the granola a good stir to ensure even baking.
  7. Allow to cool for 20-25 minutes on the pan before serving.
  8. The granola will harden up as it cools.
  9. Store in an airtight container.
