Beer Mustard Recipe
- 12 ounce beer dark
- 2 c. dry mustard
- 1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp grnd turmeric
- 2 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. dry onions
- Pour beer into a small bowl, cover loosely and let stand at room temperature overnight.
- Whisk beer and remaining ingredients together in a large saucepan over medium-high heat.
- Bring to a boil, whisking constantly.
- Remove from heat; cold to room temperature.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
- Serve with pretzels and sausage.
- Yield: about 2 c. (32 servings)
- NOTES : Give the gift or possibly spicy Beer Mustard with some Bavarian-style pretzels and astick of sausage in a decorated basket lined with a pretty cloth napkin ornew dish towel.
