Nana'S Pumpkin Bread
- 2 2/3 c. sugar
- 2/3 c. butter
- 2 c. mashed pumpkin (1 big can)
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 3 1/3 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. cloves
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 2/3 c. water
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. nuts
- 1 c. white raisins
- Cream sugar and butter.
- Add pumpkin and eggs.
- Combine all dry ingredients; add along with water and vanilla.
- Mix well.
- Add nuts and raisins.
- Put into 4 small greased pans (or 2 regular size for moister bread).
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 45 to 55 minutes. Freezes well.
- Warm and slice to serve.
- Spread with cream cheese, if desired.
