BBQ Sauce for Pressure Cooker
- 1 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp pineapple vinegar
- 2 tbsp worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 2 tbsp chili sauce
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- Mix together all ingredients.
- This is my second step in preparing spare ribs.
- My first step involves searing the ribs in a dry rub.
- Once you have seared the ribs, place them in your pressure cooker on their sides so they are standing up in rows.
- Pour BBQ sauce all over the ribs getting all surfaces as coated as possible.
- Pressure cook on high pressure for 30 minutes then use quick release method.
- Ribs should be falling off the bone tender.
- Reduce BBQ sauce to create a thick sauce that will be used for glazing them on the grill or in the broiler.
- I discard ad much of the oil as possible in this step by skimming it off the top.
