Llanddarog Fair Cakes
- 12 ounces self raising flour
- 8 ounces butter
- 6 ounces sugar
- 34 tablespoon beer
- 12 cup currants
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- Mix flour and sugar together and rub in the butter.
- Make a stiff dough with the beer, roll out to 1/4 inch thick and cut into rectangles.
- Use currants to mark like dominoes.
- Bake at 350 F for 20-30 minutes until golden.
