Praline Bacon!
- 6 Tablespoons Pure Maple Syrup (the Real Deal)
- 1/4 teaspoons Ground Cayenne Pepper
- 1 pound Thick Cut Bacon
- 1/2 cups Dark Brown Sugar (more As Needed)
- 1/2 cups Pecans, Chopped Fine
- 1 Tablespoon Pampered Chef Sweet Caramel Sprinkle (optional)
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F.
- Mix the syrup and cayenne pepper well in a small bowl and set aside.
- Coat both sides of each bacon slice generously with brown sugar.
- Arrange the bacon on a wire rack inside a sheet pan.
- Bake in the center rack in your oven until the sugar is starting to caramelize and the bacon just starts to crisp around the edges.
- This should take about 15 minutes, depending on the thickness of your bacon.
- Remove from the oven and brush each slice with the syrup mixture and bake another five minutes.
- Flip the bacon over and brush the other side with the syrup.
- Dust the top of each slice with pecans and sprinkle with a little of the caramel.
- Bake three minutes more.
- Lightly and carefully brush the pecans with syrup.
- Bake three minutes more.
- Remove from the oven, flip each slice over and dust the other side with the remaining pecans.
- Let sit five minutes.
- Enjoy, then immediately start making more.
