Seasoned Brussels Sprouts with Bonito Flakes

  1. Remove the outer skin of the brussels sprouts, cut in half, and set aside.
  2. There's no need to make more cuts.
  3. Cook in boiling water for about 3 minutes.
  4. Occasionally, check the hardness to make sure you're not over-boiling.
  5. Drain after removing from the water.
  6. After draining, soak in ice or run under cold water to cool.
  7. Be careful not to over-cool.
  8. Drain again.
  9. Combine the flavoring ingredients in a bowl and mix together.
  10. Add the boiled brussels sprouts and mix.
  11. Sprinkle bonito flakes and mix.
  12. Leave it for a while to let the delicious flavor set in.
  13. This goes well with pasta.
  14. You can also add some spice to it as well.
