Barley Stew Recipe

  1. Soak beans overnight, covering with 2 inches of water.
  2. Drain off and rinse next morning.
  3. Simmer in a large pot soaked beans, water, V-8 juice, garlic pwdr, and Instead of Salt.
  4. Simmer, covered, over a very low heat for 6 hrs, then add in onion and barley.
  5. Simmer 45 min, then add in any vegetables.
  6. Simmer 30 more min.
  7. Serves 10.
