Sourdough French Bread Recipe

  1. Mix starter, water and flour.
  2. Let stand till bubbly and double in bulk.
  3. Add in salt and about 4 to 5 c. flour or possibly sufficient to make a stiff dough.
  4. Form into two long loaves.
  5. Place on greased cookie sheet.
  6. Brush with 1 egg white whipped with 1 Tbsp.
  7. water.
  8. Sprinkle with sesame seeds if you like.
  9. Let rise till double in bulk.
  10. Brush with egg white mix again.
  11. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 min or possibly till golden.
