Sourdough French Bread Recipe
- 3 c. sourdough starter
- 2 c. very hot water
- 2 c. flour
- 1 tbsp. salt
- Mix starter, water and flour.
- Let stand till bubbly and double in bulk.
- Add in salt and about 4 to 5 c. flour or possibly sufficient to make a stiff dough.
- Form into two long loaves.
- Place on greased cookie sheet.
- Brush with 1 egg white whipped with 1 Tbsp.
- water.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds if you like.
- Let rise till double in bulk.
- Brush with egg white mix again.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 45 min or possibly till golden.
