Creamy Joanie Chicken - Guaranteed Crowd Pleaser!
- 1 lb chicken piece
- 1 (8 ounce) can cream of chicken soup
- 15 ounces sour cream
- 14-12 cup chicken broth
- 8 ounces Velveeta cheese
- Ritz cracker, 1 sleeve
- 14 cup butter, melted
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Farenheit.
- Boil chicken in pot on stove until white all the way through.
- De-bone and shred into small bite-size peices.
- While chicken is boiling, mix together the filling in bowl (cream of chicken, sour cream, and chicken broth).
- Layer shredded chicken in the bottom of 9X13 casserole dish.
- Pour filling evenly over chicken.
- Slice up Velveeta cheese into thin slices and layer all over casserole.
- Crumble up Ritz crackers and layer over cheese.
- Drizzle casserole with melted butter.
- Cover with foil and bake for 40-45 minutes.
- Uncover and bake until brown on top (approximately 10-15 minutes).
- Let cool for 5 minutes (if you can stand smelling the delicious aroma that long!)
- and then serve.
