Chocolate-Cherry KOOL-AID Meringues
- 3 egg whites
- 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp. KOOL-AID Cherry Flavor Unsweetened Drink Mix
- 1/2 cup miniature semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Heat oven to 250 degrees F.
- Beat egg whites and cream of tartar in large bowl with mixer on high speed until soft peaks form.
- Gradually add sugar then drink mix, beating after each addition until stiff peaks form.
- Gently stir in chocolate chips.
- Drop into 48 mounds on baking sheets sprayed with cooking spray, using about 2 tsp.
- egg white mixture for each mound.
- Bake 30 min.
- Reduce oven temperature to 225 degrees F; continue baking 10 to 12 min.
- or until tops are set.
- Cool 2 min.
- Remove to wire racks; cool completely.
