Chocolate-Cherry KOOL-AID Meringues

  1. Heat oven to 250 degrees F.
  2. Beat egg whites and cream of tartar in large bowl with mixer on high speed until soft peaks form.
  3. Gradually add sugar then drink mix, beating after each addition until stiff peaks form.
  4. Gently stir in chocolate chips.
  5. Drop into 48 mounds on baking sheets sprayed with cooking spray, using about 2 tsp.
  6. egg white mixture for each mound.
  7. Bake 30 min.
  8. Reduce oven temperature to 225 degrees F; continue baking 10 to 12 min.
  9. or until tops are set.
  10. Cool 2 min.
  11. Remove to wire racks; cool completely.
