Butterscotch Scotchies - desert Safe
- 1 14 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 12 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup butter flavor shortening
- 1 14 cups granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 12 tablespoons orange peel (grated)
- 2 tablespoons water
- 3 cups quick oats (uncooked) or 3 cups old fashioned oats (uncooked)
- 1 23 cups NESTLE TOLL HOUSE Butterscotch Flavored Morsels
- preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Grease 15x10in jelly roll pan.
- Combine flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon in small mixer bown.
- Beat shortening, sugar, eggs and orange peel in large mixer bowl until creamy.
- Gradually beat in flour mixture and water.
- Stir in oats and morsels.
- Spread batter into prepared baking pan.
- Bake for 18-22 minutes or until golden brown.
- Cool completely in pan on wire rack.
- Cut into bars.
