Mary Rice Sparklin's Wheat Germ Bread Recipe

  1. Bring the following to a boil: lowfat milk, 7/8 c. sugar, salt, butter and cold to lukewarm.
  2. Mix yeast, 1/2 tsp.
  3. sugar, and lukewarm water in a glass.
  4. Set aside.
  5. Mix flour and what germ; make a nest and add in all the liquids and stir.
  6. Let sit 20 min.
  7. Use an additional c. of flour and knead bread 8-10 min.
  8. Let rise till double.
  9. Punch down, make into rolls or possibly loaves.
  10. Let rise again.
  11. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 min.
