Cheesy Beef Rice Bake

  1. In large saucepan, cook ground beef and garlic until meat is browned; drain off fat.
  2. Remove from pan and set aside.
  3. In same saucepan, cook uncooked rice in butter until golden brown, stirring frequently.
  4. Stir in water, carrot, bouillon granules, parsley, dried onion, salt and basil.
  5. Bring to boiling.
  6. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
  7. Stir in meat mixture.
  8. Turn into a 1 1/2-quart casserole.
