Honey Walnut Shrimp
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 tablespoons white sugar
- 1 cup whole walnuts
- 3 tablespoons mayonnaise (The Recipe calls for Helman's but it's hard to find so Best Foods Mayonnaise can be used in its plac)
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 tablespoons sweet condensed milk
- 12 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 lb raw shrimp, cleaned Deveined & Peeled
- 1 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon white sugar
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup water
- Melt butter in sauce pan on high heat, add walnuts and sugar then lower heat to medium for 1-2 minutes then remove from heat.
- Combine all ingredients for sauce and mix until smooth put a side.
- Heat: 2-3 cups of oil on high heat.
- Mix flour, sugar, salt and water in a bowl until smooth.
- Rinse raw shrimp and add to mix one by one dropping shrimp into the hot oil for 2 minutes be careful not to overcrowd the pot.
- Once the shrimp turns LIGHT BROWN place the cooked shrimp on a dish layered with paper towel to absorb the oil.
- Once all shrimp is cooked put in a dish and mix with your cooked walnuts and spread the sauce over the shrimp and gently mix.
