Baked Avocado With Crab Recipe
- 4 x Ripe avocados, halved and stoned
- 175 gm Fresh crab meat, (6oz)
- 4 Tbsp. Single cream
- 1/2 tsp Paprika
- 2 Tbsp. Wholemeal breadcrumbs
- 50 gm Gruyere cheese, grated (2oz) Salt and freshly grnd black pepper
- 1.
- Place the avocados, cut side up in an ovenproof dish.
- 2.
- Mix together the crab meat, cream, paprika and seasoning to taste then pile the mix onto the avocado halves.
- 3.
- Mix together the breadcrumbs and cheese and sprinkle over the avocados.
- Place under a preheated warm grill for 3-4 min till the topping is crisp and golden.
- 4.
- Serve immediately with a crisp green salad and hot crusty bread.
- NOTES : Delicious, quick and easy to make starters for 4 people, or possibly a light supper for 2.
