CANDY CANE SYRUP
- 2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
- 6 -8 candy canes
- Start by pouring sugar and water in a saucepan.
- Give it a stir.
- Turn on stove to medium high heat.
- Meanwhile unwrap 6-8 candy canes.
- Break them up into pieces.
- Add to pan.
- Keep stirring .when candy canes are dissolved.
- It will turn clear and take on a deep pink color.
- When it comes to a boil.
- Boil 2-3 minutes.
- Turn off heat.
- Alliw to cool.
- Pour syrup into a jar with a lid.
- I poured mine into half pint canning jars while hot so they would seal.
- You will only get 2 .
