CANDY CANE SYRUP

  1. Start by pouring sugar and water in a saucepan.
  2. Give it a stir.
  3. Turn on stove to medium high heat.
  4. Meanwhile unwrap 6-8 candy canes.
  5. Break them up into pieces.
  6. Add to pan.
  7. Keep stirring .when candy canes are dissolved.
  8. It will turn clear and take on a deep pink color.
  9. When it comes to a boil.
  10. Boil 2-3 minutes.
  11. Turn off heat.
  12. Alliw to cool.
  13. Pour syrup into a jar with a lid.
  14. I poured mine into half pint canning jars while hot so they would seal.
  15. You will only get 2 .
