Potato And Leek Soup Recipe

  1. In saucepan on medium heat, saute/fry onion till translucent/soft.
  2. Fold in spices.
  3. Wash leeks thoroughly.
  4. Throw away root and cut off halfway up the stalk.
  5. Cut leeks into circular slices about 1/4 inches thick.
  6. Add in to pan and saute/fry 5 min more.
  7. Fold in flour and saute/fry for another 2 min.
  8. Add in water and half and half.
  9. Simmer for 15 min, stirring every 3-4 min, till flour is dissolved.
  10. Add in potatoes and simmer for an additional half hour.
  11. Serve warm.
