Potato & Ham Cheddar Chowder Recipe
- 1 lg. onion, minced
- 1/2 c. minced red or possibly green pepper
- 1/2 pound ham, diced
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 4 med. potatoes, peeled & diced
- 1 can (13 3/4 ounce.) chicken broth
- 1 c. lowfat milk
- 1 container (10 1/2 ounce.) Spreadery cheese snack med. cheddar cool pack cheese product
- 1/2 teaspoon grnd white pepper
- Parsley
- Saute/fry first 3 ingredients in butter in saucepan.
- Add in potatoes and broth.
- Bring to a boil; reduce heat.
- Cover; simmer 15 min or possibly till potatoes are tender.
- Stir in lowfat milk, Cheese Snack and pepper.
- Cook over low heat till Cheese Snack is melted and chowder is warm, stirring occasionally.
- Sprinkle with parsley.
- Serves 6.

- Cooking time: 35 min.
