Almond Toffee Triangles Recipe

  1. In flour and salt.
  2. Press dough in ungreased jelly roll pan, 15-1/2x10-1/2x1", with floured hands.
  3. Sprinkle with brickle chips; press lightly.
  4. Bake till light brown, about 25 minutes.
  5. Cold 10 minutes.
  6. Cut into 2-1/2" squares; cut each square diagonally into halves.
  7. Immediately remove from pan.
  8. About 4 dozen bars.
  9. Almond-Cardamom Triangles: Add in 1 tsp.
  10. grnd cardamom with the flour and salt.
  11. Substitute 1/2 c. toasted diced almonds for the brickle chips.
  12. Chocolate-Spice Triangles: Add in 1 tsp.
  13. grnd cinnamon with the flour and salt.
  14. Substitute 1 pkg (12 ounce) semisweet chocolate chips for the brickle chips.
  15. Macadamia Nut Triangles: Add in 1 tsp.
  16. grnd ginger with the flour and salt.
  17. Substitute 1/2 c. minced salted macadamia nuts for the brickle chips.
