Czechoslovakian Sauerkraut Recipe
- 1 quart. sauerkraut (liquid removed)
- 2 tbsp. veg. oil
- 1 med. onion (minced)
- 3 tbsp. flour
- 1 quart. water (less if desired it thick)
- 1/4 c. sugar (to taste)
- 1 tbsp. caraway seed
- Drain sauerkraut, set aside.
- Heat 2 Tbsp.
- oil in a large pot.
- Add in minced onion and cook till transparent.
- Add in flour and make a roux.
- Slowly add in Cool water.
- Heat.
- Add in sauerkraut after flour and water has cooked, then add in sugar and caraway seed.
- Cook for at least an hour.
