Make Takoyaki in a Frying Pan

  1. Combine and ingredients in two separate bowls.
  2. Chop other main ingredients.
  3. Chop up the cabbage roughly.
  4. Mix in half of the water to .
  5. It gets lumpy, but keep on mixing.
  6. When it's mixed thoroughly, add the remaining water, egg, salt, and ingredients.
  7. Keep on mixing.
  8. Add Japanese leek and cabbage.
  9. Keep on mixing.
  10. Heat oil in a frying pan, and pan-fry the ingredients.
  11. Top with octopus.
  12. Cover the pan and pan-fry for 3 to 4 minutes on a medium heat.
  13. Now, don't be afraid, and flip it over.
  14. Remove the lid and heat for 3 to 4 minutes over medium or high heat to your liking.
  15. Not all takoyaki are round!
  16. Toppings (Sprinkle on top): Bonito flakes, aonori, and tempura crumbs.
  17. (Mix into the dough): Beni-shouga red pickled ginger, konnyaku, etc.
  18. Add anything and as much as you like.
