Double Chocolate Brownies
- 3/4 c. unsifted flour
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/3 c. butter
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. water
- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- Preheat oven to 325u0b0.
- In a small bowl, combine flour, soda and salt; set aside.
- In a small saucepan, combine butter, sugar and water; bring just to a boil.
- Remove from heat.
- Add into butter mix 6 ounces of the morsels and vanilla; stir until morsels are melted and mixture is smooth.
- Transfer to a large bowl.
- Add in eggs one at a time.
- Beat well after each egg.
- Gradually blend in flour mix.
- Stir well.
- Add rest of morsels and add nuts. Spread into greased 9-inch square baking pan.
- Bake 30 to 35 minutes.
- Cool completely, then cut into sixteen 2 1/4-inch squares.
