Barbecued Baby Back Ribs

  1. Heat oil in pot.
  2. Add onions, scallions and peppers and saute.
  3. Add garlic, sugar, and remaining dry ingredients.
  4. Add liquid ingredients and continue to stir.
  5. Simmer 3 hours, until flavor mixes well.
  6. Remove back sinew of ribs and sear on hot grill, both sides.
  7. Place ribs in roasting pan.
  8. Combine water and sauce and pour over ribs.
  9. Bring to boil on stove and cover with foil.
  10. Place in 350 degree (175 C.) oven until tender, but not falling off bone.
  11. Cool before serving.
