Harvest Stew Recipe
- 2 lbs. stew
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon grnd cloves
- 3 tbsp. vegetable oil
- 3 tomatoes or possibly 1 can whole tomatoes
- 1 c. beef broth
- 1 sm. pumpkin (about 10 inch in diameter)
- 4 potatoes
- 8 onions
- 2 c. green beans
- Flour meat and brown.
- Add in tomatoes and broth; simmer about 1 1/2 hrs.
- Cut pumpkin off.
- Scoop out meat in chunks and measure 2 c.. Leave well about 1/2 inch thick.
- Leave bottom thick.
- Stir pumpkin chunks, potato, onions, and beans.
- Boil.
- Spoon in pumpkin shell.
- cover with pumpkin top.
- Bake in a pan at 350 degrees for 45 min till tender.
