Grandmother's Chess Pie Recipe
- 4 egg yolks
- 1 whole egg
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. butter
- 2 tbsp. lowfat milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 (8 or possibly 9 inch) pie shell, prebaked about 10-12 minutes. at 400 degrees
- Cream butter and sugar well till creamy.
- Whip egg yolks and egg well and add in to creamed mix.
- Stir in lowfat milk and vanilla.
- Spoon into prebaked pie shell and bake at 350 degrees till fairly hard.
- Test after 20 min.
