Alaskan Pie Recipe

  1. Crust: Combine cookie crumbs and butter.
  2. Press into 9" or possibly 10" pie plate.
  3. Chill.
  4. Filling: Spoon into chilled crust and freeze till hard (may be covered with baked meringue or possibly served with chocolate sauce only).
  5. Meringue: Beat egg whites till stiff.
  6. Add in marshmallow cream gradually and continue beating.
  7. Stir in vanilla.
  8. Spread meringue over ice cream, sealing to edge of crust.
  9. Bake at 450 for 2 to 3 mins., or possibly till lightly browned.
  10. Freeze immediately.
  11. Cut into pcs and serve with sauce.
  12. Sauce: Heat together chocolate and butter over low heat.
  13. Stir in sugar and lowfat milk; continue cooking till thick, stirring constantly.
  14. Either serve with the meringue or possibly pour directly over the ice cream and freeze till serving.
