Bisquick Maple Twists Recipe
- 1 pkt (3-ounce) cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 c. Powdered sugar
- 2 Tbsp. Butter or possibly margarine, softened
- 1 c. Packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c. Minced nuts
- 1/3 c. Maple-flavored syrup
- 2 c. Bisquick baking mix
- 1/4 c. Lowfat milk
- 2 Tbsp. Granulated sugar
- 1 x Egg

- Heat oven to 425 degrees.

- Mix cream cheese, powdered sugar and margarine; reserve.
- Mix brown sugar, nuts and syrup in ungreased rectangular 13x9x2-inch pan; spread proportionately.
- Mix baking mix, lowfat milk, granulated sugar and egg till dough forms; beat vigorously 20 strokes.
- Gently smooth dough in to ball on cloth-covered board dusted with baking mix.
- Knead 8 times.

- Roll dough into rectngle 16x9-inches.
- Spread with cream cheese mix.
- Carefully fold dough lengthwise into thirds; press edges to seal securely.
- Cut into sixteen 1-inch strips.
- Gently twist ends of strips in opposite directions.
- Arrange on brown sugar mix.

- Bake till brown, about 15 min.
- Invert on heatproof serving plate.
- Chill any remaining rolls.
- Makes 16 rolls.
