Bisquick Maple Twists Recipe

  2. Heat oven to 425 degrees.

  4. Mix cream cheese, powdered sugar and margarine; reserve.
  5. Mix brown sugar, nuts and syrup in ungreased rectangular 13x9x2-inch pan; spread proportionately.
  6. Mix baking mix, lowfat milk, granulated sugar and egg till dough forms; beat vigorously 20 strokes.
  7. Gently smooth dough in to ball on cloth-covered board dusted with baking mix.
  8. Knead 8 times.

  10. Roll dough into rectngle 16x9-inches.
  11. Spread with cream cheese mix.
  12. Carefully fold dough lengthwise into thirds; press edges to seal securely.
  13. Cut into sixteen 1-inch strips.
  14. Gently twist ends of strips in opposite directions.
  15. Arrange on brown sugar mix.

  17. Bake till brown, about 15 min.
  18. Invert on heatproof serving plate.
  19. Chill any remaining rolls.
  20. Makes 16 rolls.
