Beef And Beer Stew Recipe
- 2 1/2 lb lean beef stew meat cut in 1" cubes
- 1 lrg onion minced
- 2 x garlic cloves chopped
- 3 x carrots cut in 1" slices
- 2 x celery ribs cut in 1/2" slices
- 2 med potatoes cut in 1" cubes
- 16 ounce beer
- 2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp freshly-grnd black pepper
- 1 tsp oregano
- 2 Tbsp. tomato paste
- 3 Tbsp. melted butter
- 1/3 c. flour
- Place all ingredients, except butter and flour in the crock pot; mix well.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hrs.
- Mix melted butter with flour; add in to the stew.
- Taste and adjust seasonings.
- Turn to HIGH and cook till thickened, about 15 to 20 min.
- This recipe yields 6 servings.
