Beef Pot Pie With Biscuits Recipe

  1. Brown beef in shortening in skillet; remove beef.
  2. Cook onion and celery in butter in skillet till onion is tender.
  3. Stir in remaining ingredients except cool water, baking mix, and biscuits.
  4. Heat to boiling; reduce heat.
  5. Cover and simmer 30 min.
  6. Heat oven to 450 degrees.
  7. Prepare biscuits.
  8. Mix cool water and baking mix till smooth; gradually stir into beef mix.
  9. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly; boil and stir 1 minute.
  10. Pour into 1 1/2 qt casserole.
  11. Arrange biscuits on top.
  12. Bake till golden brown, 10-12 min.
  13. 5-6 servings.
