Apple Praline Pie Recipe
- 1 x your favorite crust. I use Pillsbury Ready Made Pie Crust.
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 4 Tbsp. sugar
- 4 Tbsp. Brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. corn syrup
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 4 x Granny Smith apples
- 1 Tbsp. butter, chilled
- 2 Tbsp. corn starch
- Mix the filling by mixing together cinnamon, sugar, brown sugar, corn syrup, corn starch, and salt.
- Thinly slice apples (you will need 2 c. for this recipe) and place proportionately in pie pan.
- Sprinkle cinnamon and sugar mix over apples.
- Cut butter into small pcs and place on top.
- Place top crust on pie and trim, allowing about 1/4 inch of dough to hang over the edge of the pan.
- Presstogether top and bottom and bake for 1 hour at 375 .
- Praline Topping1/2 c. stick butter - unsalted1/2 c. packed brown sugar2 Tbsp.
- whipping cream1/2 c. minced pecans
- Preheat oven to 450 .
- Heat butter in small pan.
- Add in brown sugar and stir till smooth.
- Add in cream and heat to a boil.
- Remove from heat and add in pecans.
- Carefully spread over top of baked pie.
- Place pie in oven and bake 5 - 8 min,till topping is browned and bubbly.
- Serve pie hot with a dollop of whipped cream and a dash of cinnamon (optional).
- The nice thing about this pie is it will last over a week if kept in the fridge.
