Chili Relish
- 1 cup granulated sigar
- 1/2 cup cider vinegar
- 2 chopped medium white or yellow onions
- 1 large green bell pepper, seeded and chopped
- 4 clove minced garlic
- 1 tbsp salt
- 3/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp allspice
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 28 ounce crushed tomatos
- Combie all ingredients in a large saucepan.
- bring to a boil then reduce to a simmer, simmer uncovered on very low 2 hours, stirring to be sure it does not stick.
- Cool.
- Put in containers, freeze some for later and refrigerate the remaining.
- Serve anywhere you would serve a relish, very good with any roasted or grilled meats, baked beans and of course hamburgers and hotdogs or sausages, and sandwiches!
