Broiled Parmesan Tomatoes

  1. Slice tomatoes in half.
  2. Using small spoon, remove seed.
  3. Place tomato halves on a broiler pan coated with nonstick cooking spray.
  4. Combine the oil, garlic and pepper.
  5. Brush combination over the tomatoes.
  6. Sprinkle with basil.
  7. Broil about 6 inches from heat for 3-4 minutes or until heated through.
  8. In a small bowl, combine bread crumbs and parmesan cheese.
  9. Sprinkle over tomatoes.
  10. Broil 1-2 minutes longer or until crumbs are lightly browned.
  11. Serve immediately.
