Sublime Grated Onion Sauce

  1. Mix the flavoring ingredients together.
  2. Grate the onion.
  3. This is the hardest step.
  4. Grate the garlic and ginger.
  5. (If it's wintertime, grate an apple).
  6. Mix well to emulsify with the oil (blend well with the oil).
  7. If you let the sauce rest for 2 to 3 days the onion will blend with the other flavors and the sauce will be more delicious.
  8. You can add some honey or grated apple too.
  9. It goes well with grated daikon radish.
  10. Add it to a frying pan after cooking meat to make a sauce mixed with the leftover juices...
  11. For sauted meat (steak or chicken), wipe excess oil in the pan, add some of the sauce to the pan, reduce, then pour over the dish.
  12. You could top over a hamburger steak.
  13. Or on a tofu burger.
  14. Serve on slices of roast beef.
  15. Add it to the frying pan after cooking hamburgers, and bring to a quick boil to make sauce!
  16. Pour over hamburgers and serve with grated daikon radish on the side.
  17. It's great mixed into side vegetables like cabbage or bean sprouts, as well as with pasta or potatoes.
  18. Winter onions have a harsher taste, so the grated apple mellows the flavor.
