pickled jalapenos
- 6 large jalapenos peppers
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- mix the vinegar, water, sugar and salt in a small pot and heat until it is just begining to boil
- Set the sauce aside and slice your peppers into small rings.
- if you want it hot and spicy, then leave the seeds in.
- if you want it milder (but just as tasty!)
- then cut the slices about 1/2 way up.
- Take the blunt end of your knife and remove the seeds.
- The seeds are what hold most of the heat in most peppers
- in a sealable container put in the sliced peppers and pour the liquid over them.
- let them sit over night, but the longer they sit, the better.
- just like wine!
